In
an early musical incarnation, Tony Airoldi was a member of country- rockers Greezy Wheels, a house band at the legendary Armadillo
World Headquarters. Later he pursued his career as teacher, sideman, studio musician and singer/songwriter. In 2003, a unique South Austin Gypsy Jazz sound was born,
Djangos Moustache, inspired by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli's "Swing Manouche". In early 2008, Tony embarked on a new and improved version
of his Gypsy Jazz music with a new band, Airoldi’s South Austin Gypsy Jazz, as he brought new life to his singer-songwriter
roots with new songs and familiar Austin musicians.
