Behind the Music
You are invited to enjoy some Austin-made music with Tony Airoldi. His unique and diverse style combines elements of Django Reinhardt, Dire Straits, and Taj Mahal, to name a few. After moving to A Town in 1970, Tony joined the seminal Austin band Greezy Wheels, who became the house band at the renowned Armadillo World Headquarters. They opened shows for many well known artists, such as Willie Nelson's first Austin appearance there in 1972. This led them to playing at several of Willie's 4th of July Picnics.
In recent years, Tony is best known for his signature Gypsy Jazz music, fronting his own bands as well as playing solo performances at countless venues, weddings, and corporate events in and around Austin. While Tony's love for his music is obvious, he enjoys having a good time with it and sharing it with his audience.
